I have been doing some research and am unable to locate the answer to this question
What emissions controls were present on the 1994 6.5TD?

Also was the 94 a mechanical IP or Electric IP?

The 94 is electronic fuel pump and the 1500 has EGR, the 2500/3500 don't.

Everything under 8600# GVW had the "VIN S" engine with egr and a lower fuel rate. 8600 and up was "VIN F" with no EGR and a higher fuel rate/power rating.

All '94s should have a catalytic convertor.

bought 2 94's brand new, a 1500 with the S motor, and a suburban with the F motor. Neither one of them had catalyic converters on them, and the S motor will smoke the doors off the F motor, i dunno why??? since i chipped the suburban the 1500 cant keep up ne more. hehehe. i figure the sub is a lot heavier

Might have something to do with Canadian emissions vs United States emissions???
Didn't they drop the catalytic convertors on the later production year 6.5's ????

Actually, i ordered them from a performance shop near my house thats a dealer for APC. If you type APC in a search on the internet, you might be able to see who carries these particular lights in your neighborhood. sorry i didnt see that their website was under construction

Do you know what APC stands for?
When I search I get so many sites it's hard to get to anyone with lights.
The place where you bought your lights,do they have a web site?

Hijackers!

I did some research a while back and as far as I was able to determine, all US certified 6.5TDs from '94 on were supposed to have converters. They did tend to trap soot if you didn't get them hot enough or if you had EGR problems, but that was not the intended function. After all, how much soot do you think they could hold? ;)
