Anyone have the part #'s for the hi-flow water pump and Dual thermostat housing? Going to look them up on GM Parts Direct and i dont know the #'s. Thanks

They are listed in 'Book', but here they are : water cross over housing GM # 12553405, Double Thermostat outlet housing GM # 12553451, Hi-flow water pump GM # 12534772 the 6.5L Turbo Diesel book is worth weight in 'gold' for info on this motor.

I'm finding the new HO water pump has changed from 12534772 to 88894036. Not sure what causes failures, but I've got a leak and only 60k on the HO pump I installed 3 years ago.

Just to try to update the information, the following part numbers are good:

#12553405 - x-over housing (listed as thermostat housing on gmpartsdirect)
#88894036 - h.o. water pump

The number given for the outlet housing (#12553451) doesn't turn anything up.

Again, gmpartsdirect lists a #12564276 as the water outlet and/or inlet for models with the h.o. pump. Is that what I'd be looking for?

gmpartsdirect.com is misleading. You aren't getting parts right from GM, the site belongs to a dealership in North Carolina. I think the dealership skews its prices to look appeasing, but they make up for their low prices with their shipping & handling fees as Kennedy said.

I get a break at my local Chevy dealership for buying parts there on a regular basis. I make out better staying local than if I were to use gmpartsdirect.com.

I understand the issues with gmpartsdirect - that it is a dealer and the shipping costs. But it is the best way to look up parts that I've found on the net so I was using it to confirm part numbers. I've got a line on some of the parts used, so I may try to assemble what I need rather than go the route of the complete kit.

There is another diesel site out there where a guy did some research and tried to buy all the individual parts seperately in attempt to save money. He could not. You can not beat the prices that places such as Kennedy diesel offers.

The fan blade fits the clutch but how did you overcome the additional inch in diameter for the fan. BTW, I am trying to replace my 1996 Chevy K2500 6.5L diesel cooling fan and clutch. I have found that the GMB 930-2020 and 930-2070 (exact replacement) clutches both fit my truck, but am unable to find a fan that fits either. I have checked all wrecking yards within 100 miles and trying to avoid going 100+ miles to find one, and would love to find a brand new replacement.

The extra inch diameter is only 1/2" radius, or 1/2" closer to the shroud. It fits (should still have about an inch clearance), but if your engine/tranny mounts are worn out, it may be closer than comfortable, and it changes with engine torque. Body lifts also cause issues due to raising the body away from the frame. The engine is mounted to the frame, while the cooling stack is mounted to the body. Better for the suspension, not so much for the remainder.
