and i dont like the feel of brake pedal. you have to press the pedal too far down before the back brakes engage. I jacked up the back of the truck and the wheels do lock up, but the engine easily spins them if you rev it up to 1500 rpm if your pushing the brake pedal to the floor. A proper brake system shouldnt let the engine spin the back wheels if the pedal is depressed. Now my question is, does anyone know what i can do to solve this problem? i have bled the brakes about 6 times, and a buddy once, we know there is no air. I was wondering if the master cylinder off one of your duramax trucks will fit on my sub? I know the 94 to 2000 3500HD trucks came with rear disc brakes, but does anyone know if i purchase the master cylinder and proprtioning valve off the 3500HD will it solve my problem? do i have to use a duramax master cylinder? any info would be appreciated I need to get down to the nitty gritty of this problem
thank you, Petrella

I would get a master off a HD truck with the 11.5 axle. It will send the proper amount of fluid to the rear as the pedal is pressed. I want to say even my truck has no prop valve and uses the ABS component to act in it's place.

I didnt even know that HD truck came with an 11.5" but i will definately look into it. my truck also has an ABS controller. There is a little aluminum block between the master cylinder and the ABS controller with a single wire going to it with a round connecter. i thought this would be the proportioning valve. so i was wondering if i go with the master cylinder off the HD do i also have to change that valve between the cylinder and the ABS controller??

An 01 and newer 2500-3500 with a diesel or 8.1 would use that axle.
Not sure on your brake system as it sounds different than mine.
