View Full Version : Fuel Filter Bleed Screw
I had the recall fuel filter change today and noticed the bleed screw is now black. I could have sworn it used to be clear/white. Am I on crack? The reason I ask is that if it was changed, maybe they are now available individually without having to buy the entire assembly. It is still plastic. I need to buy the stainless Greg L has available.

They're all black unless I missed something....:) The plastic drain/WIF (water in fuel) assembly is white.
Greg's SS version would be a good choice.

They are all black as mentioned above. Personally, I see no reason to replace it as they shouldn't fail if treated right. I use a nut driver and seat them VERY lightly.
Now the reason to change this would be to use a drain tube kit (no mess) like Greg sells.

Greg also offers a Fumoto-type drain valve with tubing to make bleeding easier and less messy. Look here--> http://www.lubricationspecialist.com/product_info.php?cPath=14&products_id=157
