I am picking up my 06 LBZ tomorrow and wonder what the best synthetic oil is to run? I plan on changing the oil(mineral) at about 100 miles than at about 750 and then going synthetic. I would like to have the truck dealer maintained, so that may be a factor. Thanks in advance for your input, Larry

I would get 1 good hard pull in first before changing to SYN oil , the rings dont seam to seat easy on these truck. get a few hundred miles on her and get a trailer loaded to the gills and head out and find some steep grade to pull at FULL power! about 100 mile of towing should get it done. Delvac 1 is about one of the best , some will say Amsoil , I dont think it matters as long as you change it when you should. I dont subscribe to extended drain intervals no mater what oil I run , soot and fine particles are your worst enemy. change your oil and there gone ,leave your oil and hope the filter gets it isnt my plan !
