When the motor is cold, it now cranks considerably more than it ever has since new. 01 dmax/alli. I have also noticed that once it starts the volt gauge goes right to 14v, where before it would stay at 11v for a few minutes. Truck now has 80,000 miles on it and injectors were changed at 69,000.

Hmmm, just a guess sense I have never had to look at it, but maybe the preheater that draws a bazillion amps has a problem, you check the fuses?

Check your glow plugs and intake heater sounds like one or both is not working.

Better get those glow plugs fixed before this week-end. Those Kanucks are sending some -50 degree temperatures our way, may be the colded week-end on record coming up. I wonder how cold it will get in Fargo ND?
