smokes more then normal at idle

Dmax seems to be smoking more then normal at idle. Once you get underway it runs well get good milage and can't see the smoke.

03 dmax allsn, 95K run fluids are synthetic.

If your engine is fully warmed up and the weather is not cold and it still smokes at idle. I would be very suspicious of an injector.
I did read your sig. correctly and you have 95,000 on the truck?

First thing that I would do is have the dealer read the injector balancing rates and see if anything stands out...

Thanks John, I think i'm going to the dealer before the warrenty runs out in a few thousand miles. I'll let you know what develops.

RUN to the dealer while it's under warranty. Listen to John. I had the same problem, it WAS a bad injector, I was out of warranty and paid BIG TIME.

I am looking for an answer on these posts, and rarely find the answer. What ever happened? I am experiencing this on my 03, and have 150,000 on the truck now.

I talked to the dealer and they say that the injector issue is only for the 01 and 02.

Maybe I should start a new thread?
