Well, it happened. My beloved '88 'Burb, (aka the USS Missouri) has taken a hit in the engine room. While at my local GMC shop for an oil leak, teh advisor said his team of guys think I have serious internal problems. I thought I just had a collapsed lifter, but they feel otherwise. His guys also are not certified on the 6.2; they are checked out on Duramax only. All the old heads have retired or moved on. Anyone know of a good technician in the Atlanta area? I'm leaning toward motor swap with a used lump, just to keep her going. I'll have my real garage in 10 weeks or so, and then I can do a non-time critical rebuild on my own. But I need to get her back on teh road, as my schedule and mama's rarely match, and we work on opposite ends of town. Any ideas? Thanks,
