1995 with 6.5T rough idle

I have a 1995 Chevy 6.5T, recently I noticed the truck when I came to a stop would idle up and down and felt like it was going to stall and run out of fuel, but when you gave it throttle it was fine. When this occured the service engine light would come on. When your going down the road everything is fine, even with the service light coming on every once in a while. Please let me know what you think I should check for first. Thanks :confused:

Check for codes and report back (your '95 is easy to check for codes with), sounds like surging..

Also, tell about the truck: how many miles, condition, and usage. Any history on the injection pump (IP), liftpump (LP), or fuel system.

Most people fill in truck info in profile so you don't have to retype it.

I had a crank sencer that went bad on my 95 that did this.
