That's a fairly promising notion. Good air/air heat exchangers contact a lot of surface with both the ambient and the intake airflow(s).

The stock bumpers have a smooth outer surface to gently part the airflow at front of truck. Certainly if you incorporate an airdam that could also add transfer capacity.

Since I have the material and the winch the last element to design this front end around is the Intercooler. My first choice would be BIG but low and long to fit would be nice
