In the Member's Area there is an article that describes the use of the electrical junction block to provide power for a variety of switched and non-switched accessories for 2001 and newer vehicles. Is there a block, or another convenient location on a '98 that I can use in the same way?

There's a Convenience Center located under the dash at the lower left corner of the firewall. There are some switched and non-switched power sources there.
If you have a lot of add on's.
"Painless wiring" has an add on junction block with wires and fuses. Summit, or Jeg's catalog.
I have been adding and addding wires. Real mess Just bought a "Painless " fuse block, now to get time to rewire.
