I'm looking for a 1988-98 GM 9-1/2" semi-float six-lug rear differential for the Project truck. The condition of the bearings, ring & pinion gears, differential and seals are unimportant. I just need a core with a good housing and axle shafts.
Thanks,
MP

Hey, Jim
I have one, but it's an '85 10 bolt. Externally, it looks the same as my '95 1/2 ton. The inards are in a bucket after it grenaded. It was an Auburn L/S. The housing and shafts are in excellent shape.
If you can use it, you are welcome to it. Only problem would be getting it to you. Perhaps someone will be heading up your way through here while vacationing.

Thanks. I think the 10-bolt uses an 8-1/2" ring gear, which is what I have now. The 9-1/2" GM rear axle uses 14 bolts in the diff cover - in the 88-98 axles I've seen.

MP, Check out Pirate4x4.com. I have one with 8 lug shafts but shipping is around 200 bucks.
Jim,
Wish I would have known before I came back there. I know I have at least 3 of them, but the only problem is they are all 8 lug. I've been wanting to get rid of them. Terry
