Pyrometer Senor Question

Hello, Can anyone tell where the best place to insatll the Pyrometer Sensor, or where most people are insatlling it. Instructions say 2 " from the Trubo in the exhaust tube, That placement seems almost impossible. I have a 2003 Durmax. I can access from under neath fairly easy but the psotion will be about a foot from the turbbo in the down tube..
