OIL PRESSURE

I noticed that sometimes my pressure guage reads 30 LBS. While driving in city traffic and other times it reads 60 LBS. I Have a 05 CC/LB DURAMAX. My question is what pressure should be indicated during city and highway driving ? Is 30 lbs too low??

Assuming that the sender and the gauge are accurate, 30 psi is enough for tooling around town. At higher speeds, or under semi-serious acceleration, I would prefer to see 50 psi or more. However, I am not at all familiar with the Duramax oil pressure behavior, so I will let the experts chime in here with what they have observed.
