Hello, my name is mike and i am new to this great site. Anyway,My truck is a 84 CUCV M1009. I have nothing but problems with the plugs. It's all cut up form the po. I give up on it. I would like details on making my own wiring for the plugs with a switch. Thanks a lot!

Thats a easy fix. You'll need a remote solenoid switch to mount someplace on the firewall or even the engine itself. This solenoid is similiar to what ford uses on the fender wells of many of its vehicles. There are two heavy terminals on the solenoid. One goes to battery positive, the other is for both banks of glow plugs. There is also a "S" terminal on the solenoid;that leads to the push button switch. On the opposite side of the push button switch, you'll need to bring another wire to battery positive.Be sure to install a fuse holder for some protection purposes.
