P/N: 15754298 2422 12V 5/8 female end. This is the second Pump in 15K miles. Is there an aftermarket pump more reliable that will mount on the rail. Truck is currently deadlined - HELP!
Currently 105K miles since bought new.
Thanks.
I'm not dr. Lee, but I'd recommend putting a filter on the suction side of the lift pump. Anything that gets by the in-tank strainer will get lodged in your pump.
Dittos to Phil's advice....
If you do go with a filter the Stanadyne FM100 is a good choice. It's high quality and reasonably priced (about $40 for the head with an element from Reliable Industries (http://www.reliableindustries.com/inv/stan/1_fm100.php)). I have one in my lift pump setup (http://community.webshots.com/album/77018086bLHHHC) that works great and the element is very easy to change. smile.gif
The Oil Pressure Sender switches power to the lift pump.
Has that been verified as functional?

What yr truck? I think '96 up pwrs LP thru relay switched by PCM. Earlier yrs OPS drives LP directly, may need R&R OPS; may want use relay between OPS and LiftPump.
