Mechanic is San Diego area ??

Does anyone know of a mechanic in the San Diego area to do the Water Pump Mods on a 93.


It kills me not to do it myself but, I just don't have the time right now.

I know an honest diesel shop in San Bernardino. That may be a bit far North for you though.

I just called and spoke with Dave. We are going to coodinate a time and he will do the install for me.

As well as removing the radiator for a good cleaning.

One last question.
Should I stay with my stock 6 blade steel fan, or replace it with the newer 9 blade steel fan?
Will it make a great difference?

The 20" 9-blade steel fan or the 21" 9-blade Duramax fan requires a 1997-1998 model-year fan-clutch, which will bolt onto any prior year 6.5 water pump. The newer fans move more air and run quieter. Fans are pretty cheap....
