I couldent be more happy, runs awsome, pulls wonderfull, thank GOD i did the splayed mains and 18:1 . I dont think the block in stock form could handle what this set up is putting out. Uses 1 qt of oil in about 3300 mi. Settled on 18 lbs of boost, i mix p/s grey bottle to the highest 6 cetain level with about 2oz per 10 gal of marvel mystery oil. I would love to try the FPPF stuff JK has just havent got to it yet. The motor has been trouble free in 25k. As 1 dodge guy said, that aint no 6.5 in there. The biggest stability factors in this set up are
1. Splayed mains
2 18:1 ceramic and side coated pistons
3. Balancing
4. Big 12x18 earls oil cooler (carries 10 to 12 lbs more oil psi in all circumstances over stock cooler.
5. Intercooler (intake air temp is on average 150 deg cooler when working the engine hard).
6. Late water pump and dual stat housing
7. Modified fan clutch
8. 97 and up oil pump
9. The best oil you are convinced you can buy
10. 3in manderal down pipe and x over, 4in exh
11. mixing fuel up to the best potential
12. running TDC offset to -1.24, anything more than that i feel will hammer it up, makes more unnesesry heat too.
13. Gear drive set. (its pretty nice knowing that i dont have the valve and pump timing 2 or 4 deg retarded now with 25k on the engine).
It keeps on making more power, maybe its just getting loosened up, couldentask any more from it. Most all that have been done to it i learned rite here on this board, Thanks to all and you know who you are.
