power surge

have been having problems with intermittent power surge. Does not feel like a hesitation. First time I felt this I thought someone tapped my rear bumper. I few times I could hear the engine actually pick up rpm for a brief second. Truck seems to have good power , does not stall but when this happens it almost feels like I have one or two dead cylinders and they kick in for just a brief second. Any Ideas?

It sounds like it might be an engine skip caused from fuel starvation. At the top of this page try hitting the "search" button and typing "lift pump". A dirty fuel filter could do this as well?

I have felt this occasionaly as well, just sitting at a stop light or sign and I look back and there is no way that car behind me could have bumped me. This started with the new injector pump I put in at 150K miles. I think its the FSD with a hiccup.
