Please welcome Denny Bradford (Inspector), Howie Eldridge (HowieE), Casey Flint (arveetek) and Tom McCauley Sr. (tanker) as new moderators for this towing forum.
Denny Bradford has a significant amount of towing experience with the 6.5TD, having towed a 14,000-lb 5th-wheel RV trailer with his 1993 6.5TD Chevy K3500 for several years. Denny's recent acquisition of a 2003 Chevy 3500 Duramax/Allison will allow him to provide information covering a broad range of truck and trailer issues. Denny has written or co-wrote a couple of articles for The Diesel Page, and has been a member since mid 1997.
Howie Eldridge has been a member since late 1997. He began his GM diesel experience with a 1987 6.2L Banks turbocharged Suburban , which he used to tow his Airstream travel-trailer. Howie has since traded his '87 Suburban for a 1996 6.5TD Suburban, which he now uses to tow his triple-axle Airstream. Several towing trips across America, including a trip to Alaska make him an expert in long distance towing. Howie has also co-written a towing article for The Diesel Page, and has attended all prior Rendezvous events. His talent as a bratwurst chef is legendary…
Casey Flint has used his 6.2L diesel to tow a 5th-wheel travel trailer across many states, including a towing trip to the 2001 Rendezvous in Ohio. Casey's experience with the 6.2L and his career as a travel-trailer and RV technician make him eminently qualified to help others with both 6.2L and RV questions. Casey has been a member for more than three years.
Last, but not least, Tom McCauley Sr. has also agreed to help moderate this new towing forum. Tom currently owns a 1995 6.5TD Suburban (one owner) that is equipped with just about every performance and cooling modification we've discussed here in The Diesel Page all these years, including 18:1 pistons, intercooler, and lots of other peformance and cooling mods. Tom is currently towing a new 33'10" Holiday Rambler travel-trailer with 2 slides. Aside from being a 6.5TD expert, Tom also has considerable experience in long distance towing. Tom has written or co-wrote a couple of articles for The Diesel Page, and has been a member since mid 1997.
Thanks for helping out!
