My SES light illuminated and the code was a P 1218 "Fuel air metering". Where do I start to fix the issue? Once the cause is corrected, will the code clear on it's own or do I need to do something to clear the code?
Thanks
Jim

DTC P1218 indicates that the PCM is having difficulty reading the FSD calibration resistor.

Does your FSD have a calibration resistor installed?

Once installed, the PCM will re-learn the resistor value automatically at the next ignition cycle.

The FSD and resister are stock and to the best of my knowledge, original.

Try unseating and reconnecting Optical Sensor, and Inj Pump harness (FSD\PMD and Fuel Solenoid) connectors, including FSD\PMD connector, itself.
