Am looking for a replacement 6.5 TD for my 95 GMC suburban. Truck is in excelent condition and with only 94K on her. I dont want to go overboard, but would much appreciate some of your suggestions and experiences.

Are you looking for a drop-in replacement, or to rebuild the engine you have? Do you need a long-block or short-block? What happened to the engine that's in there? Is it re-buildable? Good luck in whichever way you decide to go...

There is one Rebuilder that comes to mind.

I know there is others but this one is fresh in my mind.

Yesterday afternoon I saw two 6.5 N/A engines on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2436461754&category=33615 is one of 'em. It's in Ohio currently listed for 132.00. 30k can't really recommend the seller just saw the engines.

Many folks on this website got their engines from Avant, the Diesel Depot in Georgia. Check out their ad on the advertizers page. Their supposed to do extra mods based on years of experience.
