Anybody have the specifications on the prototype International Harvester VT-220, a 220 HP V-8?
Rumored to be a smaller V8 than the VT-365.

THe actual name for the engine you are thinking of is a VT275, ie a V engine Turbo and 275 CI.
It is a V6 version of the VT365 with two cylinders lopped off, ala GM's 350/4.3 v6 gas motors. I have seen two HP ratings, 200/400 and 220/440 depending upon the rig it is in.
It would be a good motor for Ford to put in the 250/350 IMHO as a SB diesel if one would for folks that want a diesel, but do not want or need the 300/600 motors out there currently.
GM should hopefully take note and prepare a simaler motor, I know I for one would buy one, I personally do not need the HP the 6.6 forks out what I do, but I will admit the :B:B:B factor would be nice!
