What year of 6.5 is your truck? '92 - '93's use a solenoid on the IP. '94 an newer high idle is controlled by the ECM.

Its a 94 3/4 6.5. Were/ what is the ECM?
Go to http://www.kennedydiesel.com/ , click on "Tech Tips", then click ", 6.2/6.5L Tips", then click "Fast Idle Setup".
Is your pump mechanical or the electronic type?

Check the switch for continuity, check for voltage coming to the switch.

Thanks alote guys, there was not power to the switch so i just spliced another wire to make power to it and it works great now. I was also wondering when you are supposed to use it. Are you supposed to use hight idle in the mornings when you just start it and the engin is cold to worm it up faster or just use it when it is idling in town to keep the engin worm? thanks
