Does anyone know where I can find a replacement tank for an 84 Chevy Blazer CUCV? I have a 6.2 and every place I have found so far only have gas tanks not diesel. The filler neck on the Diesel should be much larger.
I have 2 new tanks I bought for a project that I'm not finishing now, let me check filler neck size and I'll let you know what I have.

does anyone have any good ideas for a good place to look for a auxillery fuel tank for a 98 short bed chevy, that will fit under a cross over tool box without spending an arm and a leg?
actually the gas and diesel tanks are the same size.
The only difference in tanks was I believe around 82-83 when they increased the inlet size, probably diesel related but increased for all tanks regardless of fuel used.
I ran into this when using a 85 box on my 75 frame.
Had to use later model tanks to match hoses from 85 bed, was not a big deal as both 75 tanks were rusted out anyway.
OOOPS just noticed the reference to the military edition, that changes everything as I have no experience with that edition of pickup.

Rob, Food for thought why not remove spare tire from underneath and use a Tahoe tank clear at the rear of frame?, should fit, locate filler neck in wheel opening.
tank switching could be achieved using OEM dual tank parts.

hi there, the fuel tanks should be the same.
i've replaced both tanks on my 86 1/2 ton 6.2
and all the parts guys say there is no diffrence
in tank size or filler neck size.
as long as the fuel pump nozzle at the pump is the same as gas.the only place i've seen a larger filler nozzle is at the card locks for the truck stops.with 500L tanks you need to fill them fast
