OK please follow me on thi one. We have an 89 K-30 old body style. It is a 454 with 4 sp manual tranny. It also has a carburated engine, so when we get parts I ask for 86 model year parts. It gets to confusing asking for 89V series parts for a carburated truck.
Anyway, here is the issue, since we have owned the truck, since 2000, we have replaced the clutch mater and slave cyl 4x. Th original lasted 100K, and since the OEM replacments, 3 of which were NAPA and on from carquest have lasted an average of 5K. The clutch master is a poorly designed piece that is very hard to bleed. We snow plow with the truck, so it sees 100's of pedal cycles during a snow event. Less than 1000 iles ago we replaced everting new in the utch system. New clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, clutch fork, slave cyl, new hydro line, and new cluth master. It lasted 2 storms, and no we are loosing pedal ressure again.
I just bought a CNC rake 3/4" bore cltch aster cyl. I will let you know how that works out.
Does anyone else have some ideas?
