He had a big time engine failure while twoing in southern New Mexico, and the dealer in Las Cruces claimed it was self-inflicted and not warrantable because he and once run Juice on it.
The last post I could find that he made was on 3/8/03, and it was a promise to keep us informed.
Anybody know anything?
TLA, are you out there?

Have not spoken directly to the service rep but the dealer ship he went to is the one I also use, 4 miles away. He paid pretty well to have them fix it, the dealer is not tolerant of mods at all. Very disappointing. From what I understand it was all out of pocket, approx $2300 worth. Never admit to chips if you think it was not the problem as in TLAs case.

Thanks for the update ski.
That sure does stink.
I can understand why we haven't heard much, if it happened to me I'd probably rupture an artery if I tried to talk about it in a forum.
If any of you breaks down near Las Cruces PAY to have it towed to El Paso!

He got out of there for only $2300 ??
Sounds as if he did pretty good, I assume he only paid a deductable or they repaired his engine as a new long block is around the 10k mark just not including install. Still a sucky deal for him :(
