I posted this message as part of another post on the duramax forum but I thought it should be here as well. My problem is with the scoring of the rear axle rotors on My 2003 2500HD 4X4. It appears that road gravel is falling into between the caliper and the rotor, sitting there as You drive and, gouging the rotor. I know there is a TSB on this problem but it does not fix the problem under warranty.
Has anyone had or have this problem? I would advise checking Your vehicle's as this will become a safety issue at very low mieage. I have 20000 KM on My truck and do not feel comfortable with the brake system and this problems effect on the ABS.
