Last week I was in the Ozark Mountains and encountered temps in the sub teens. The allison acted strange when cold. i could brake to a stop and then pull off and if i had to brake again before reaching 10 to 15 mph the allison would slam into 1st gear and would slide the rear tires. once warmed up it acted normal. has anyone else had this problem and what is the fix? I love this truck and the rear tires are half gone after only 15K. No white knuckles and get out of the way. DMAXS are AWESOME!! My older brother a DIE HARD F**D GUY for 40 years just ordered him a 2004 Duramax. He just couldn't stand the pressure. And i couldn't keep him out of mine.
