I am thinking about purchasing a new one and would like to hear from some of you out there that have recently done the same or know some one that has. What can I reasonably expect to pay for a new 3500 4x4 with club cab (4 door) DRW LB and Allison trany? Any special negotiating tricks to help get the price down as low as possible?
Also I know I may get some flack for this but I have been comparing them to the Dodge with the Cummins. Please give me reasons why I want a GM over a Dodge. I know the GM product has a little larger towing capacity and a slight lead on fuel mileage. All the Dodge guys admit this also but say the Cummins has a lead in durability. I actually like the GM product better as far as look and feel but so far it looks like the Dodge may be a better value for the buck. It looks like I may be able to pick up a new Dodge comparably equipped in the $32-33K rage (based on forum advise so far, no actual firm quotes yet).
