Just curious anyone's experience with the 'new' flywheel fix for the 6 speeds. I'm on number 3, at 70k (2002 LS X-cab DMAX) Love my truck, but could do with out the velcro on the transmission.
I hate to complain, but 20kmi per flywheel isn't good even for spark plugs!!

I haven't had any problems with mine (2005 xtended cab 4wD 6sp man), but I don't pull anything heavy and I only have 16000 on it right now.

I have slipped the clutch once, but it didn't seem to hurt in. Got in a hurry takening off from a light in 3rd gear. My normal shift pattern has been 3rd to 5th to 6th and staying under 2000 rpm going through the gears. That gives me the best mpg so far.

I've got a little over 1000 miles on my new dual mass flywheel without a problem. It does have a bit of shudder on take off though, much like a solid flywheel.

Mine was replaced at 8,000 miles and again at 58,000 miles. It now has 72,000 and under a hard load it sounds like it is coming through the floor. Took to the locall dealer and they said they can find nothing wrong with it?!?! Will GM still replace these if it is an ongoing problem? After research I found they re-used the old clutch and pressure plate at 58,000. Doesn't make much sense to me. Has any one found an upgrade or a solid flywheel to eliminate this issue?

Superdieselperformance.com is developing one at the moment. I don't know when it will be available to the genral public.

Another gentleman has also developed one that a few folks had put in, but from what I have read about this package, he has not been able to support it very well, so most people are not recommending it at this time.

I heard that centerforce has one but I think it for 01-02 trucks though.
