does anyone have the Rancho rs9000x (9 position adjustable) shocks on their truck?

I would'nt put the camper on the back without them! Load up and turn 'um up, unload and back them down to # 3. Big,Big difference from stock.

I installed all 4 about 3 weeks ago. My only complaint is why did I wait so long to get them. They made a big improvement in the ride.

I've been getting ready to replace the Firestone Steeltex tires on my '03 2500HD with Michelins to see if the ride would improve (want to get rid of the 'kick in the butt' when going over bumps such as RR tracks). Do the Rancho's make more of a difference than tires?

I also have the Ranchos, and cannot say anything about them except that they are awsome. I too wish I hadn't waited so long to do so. I been running them In L2 but thats starting to become a little bit too soft( feel like Im riding in a fatcat Cadillac).Roeg's I personally feel that shocks will give you a softer ride more so than tires. I think the part about the Rancho's I like the most is the fact they are adjustable, Im going to start running L3 in back and L4 up front. If you want to soften up your ride big time then try her out in L2 (cowboy Cadillac level). Then L4 is kidney belt level(still better than stock shocks) Bill Spend the extra money on some good shocks. Shocks(besides the Juice) was the most noticeable difference of anything I have done to my truck. Good Luck Bill

Mega ditto's! Would not leave home without them.
Very noticable ride improvement and like Cardiac said you can "crank em up or down" depending on load.I bought them when I got the Lance camper last year and the harshness of the stock ride dissappeared as soon as I installed them. :D

roegs; I think shocks would help you out more then tires, especially adjustable ones. That way, you can set it up however you'd like to. I have my fronts on 6 and the rears on 5.

buy 3 get 1 free from April 1st to June 30 at participating rancho dealers. I'll be ordering a set Tuesday.

The shocks are adjusted by a knob at the base of the shock. Detents from 1-9. You can buy an in cab adjustment add-on, its not cheap. The shocks can be easely adjusted by reaching inside the wheel well and turning the knob.

You can set them mushey on the lowest setting, 3 clicks up for a stock feel.

How well does the in cab controller work? I've heard of people having problems with the the controller leaking on the old 9000's.

Thanks for the replies on shocks vs. new tires. Guess I'll keep the existing Firestones and get some Rancho's on order. Don't mean to sound cheap, but do most of you replace all 4 shocks, or just the rears? My last truck ('00 K2500 Crew Cab) came with factory Bilsteins that rode like rocks. Replacing just the rear shocks made a night and day improvement. I'm now wondering if I can do just the rears, or should do all 4.

Can the Rancho's go STIFFER/MORE DAMPED than stock?
I don't like how "floaty" the heavy front end of the truck is when going fast over dips/bumps in the road. I'd like the front end to be more damped to get rid of floaty front end.

I DON'T want to buy them for "better ride" when that might mean less damped/MORE floaty!
One letter here said level 3 was like stock, so it can go how much higher/more damped??

xwing; they sure can. I have my fronts set on 6 and the rears on 5. No more float. Now, it rides like a truck; firm and controlled, but not harsh.
