View Full Version : Reverse Sensors
Have any of you ever used reverse sensors as an aid when backing up? I have a ARE shell on my truck and backing up at night is difficult - to say the least. I really can't see anything through two thicknesses of tinted glass. I think the sensors would be a great asset and could prevent a costly accident. I was also wondering how well they work and how difficult they are to install if doing it yourself.

I do a lot of nite work. Install an auxilary backup lite under your rear bumper and get used to useing your mirrors. My rear lite was off a loader and had 55w 24volt bulb. I was able to find a 100w 12volt bulb at Kragens.
tbrowne,
Read through this topic for my comments on the back-up warning system I have on my truck:

I have a few pics posted at the link in my sig (either link). The pics are not the best, but they will give you an idea of the system sold by Jacobs:

It has saved me more than once
