Allison Filter Question

Wondering.

I'm going to change my transmission filter soon. How much trans fluid will escape wile removing the old filter and putting on the new filter?

i changed mine this morning, and had to add 1 pint. its best to drive it and get it hot and check the stick. i put in one cup full to begin with, then drove it and got it hot and had to add another cup full. do not forget the magnet on top of the old filter. dave p

Fill the new filter before you install it. You won't need much, just use a fresh container and see how much extra runs out then add a similar amount of fresh fluid.
