The 03’s have a sizable gap between the edge of the wheel liner and the bumper that allows mud and sand to accumulate behind and under the plastic bumper cover. The 01/ 02 2500HD’s as well as all the 1500 trucks I looked at didn’t seem to have this gap. With the onset of our northeast winter I decided to try making a cover to gain some protection from the salt and sand.
