I bought the A/C delco filter at my local bowtie dealer for 9 bucks a piece.
Not too bad seeing that it is protecting a
40K truck.

Has anyone found an effective way to remove the D/A oil filter? I bought a strap wrench from Pep Boys that connects to a 3/8 ratchet and has a nylon strap. Strap stretches too much and it is difficult to get enough torque to remove the filter before running out of room to turn the ratchet. As a last resort, I got out my 18 inch channel locks and used them the last time. They seemed to work OK.
Any other thoughts out there?

I use my band type filter wrench that I have used for years. The trick is to slide it close to where the filter screws on and use steady but forceful pressure.I have been using the Champion factory filters and they still take some force to remove if torqued down as recommended.
