The new HD's are much different than the older C/K's they replaced suspension-wise. The C/K's didn't like much torsion bar lift where the HD's can take a whole lot with not a great effect on suspension feel.

I cranked mine five turns which is a bit over an inch up front. my truck sits level. I see no need for any special kit.

I also read on an official GM site that the torsion bar design allows adjusting for different loads if you like.

hoot,

Yup, you are right ask anyone with a snow plow ....... When they are installed the (installers) get right under there and crank away .......Of course they recommend putting them back .. But who's going to do that ......

hoot;

That's a lot of cranking. How's the ride now?

It made no difference at all in ride quality! Seriously. I know, I had three C/K's and played with the bars on those all the time. This suspension is great.

I do recommend an alignment though.
