I've seen this discussed in a few threads here and there, mostly when to change the spin-on filter the first time, but I haven't seen any pictures of the used filters posted. So here's a link to mine. I figure at least my fellow rookie DP members should enjoy them.

I opted to change @ 5000, one look through these pics and you won't want to wait til 7500 like the owner's manual suggests. I would like to mention that the filter and the magnet do thier job well, the fluid that drained out looked as clean as if it was coming out of the bottle.

Hope you enjoy the pics!

I thought the filter change was at 25000 for hd use (towing etc.)?

While I have already changed my filter once and will shortly change it again (I'm up to about 24,000 miles now), has anyone waited until the 25,000 miles to change it? And what did the filter look like? (real ?)
