On the members forum which I couldn't post a reply to for some reason, there was concern about whether or not you would get a new tranny or a reman or rebuilt if a replacement was needed.
Consider this, A reman will probably have all the updates and have a total replacement of all internal parts. Add to this that it is not being put together on an assembly line. I would and am taking the chance that I have a better tranny than one that was built in a hurry on a line.
I can't verify that all the parts were replaced but the one in my truck works very well.
The reason for a replacement in my truck (at 950 miles) was for a front pump seal leak. It now has over two thousand miles on it since replacement and is dry as a bone.
To find out if indeed you recieved a remanufactured tranny, look on the data plate. It will have inprinted on it "remanufactured".
FWIW. I'm happy with the reman and I still have 33,000 miles of warrenty left on the clock. So if it breaks I know where to take it.
