Looking at extended warrany
and have a question:
Under the emission warranty are the
power train and engine modules covered for
"all" failures.

I do not believe anything behind the engine is covered by the federal madatory 5/100 emissions warranty except the CAT and possibly the exhaust. That is for anything that might cause excessive emissions.

GM covers the mechanical side of the engine for 5/100,000. Some of the stuff actually overlaps but it doesn't matter. Engine is 5/100, the rest of the truck including the tranny is 3/36

It only matters if you have a gasser that has 3/36 on the engine.

if you are asking about the g.m. emmissions warranty, the pcm and the catalytic converter are covered for 8yrs/80,000 miles. all other emmissions components are the same as the basic vehicle warranty, 3/36.
