Gear lube change:

I want to change my rear end lube and clean the magnet at the same time. Do I need to purchase a new seal or gasket or just use a silicone seal material?

All you have to do is remove the drain plug (with the magnet attached), clean it and screw it back in after all that putrid grape scented stuff has dribbled out. Then remove the fill plug and put in about 4 qts. high quality GL5 gear oil of the proper viscosity for your usage, 75w - 90 for most of us, 75w -140 for the heavy haulers.
