Annoying flapping sound coming from near the Windsheild Pillars

I have a 2003 D/A CC and there is something slapping under the dash/firewall near the base of both windshield pillars and it is about to drive me nuts on long drives..

Anybody else having this noise, it only happens when you are up to speed.

Sounds like the deflect-a-shield issue. If I remember correctly there is a TSB on it. Double-Stick tape under some molding. Pull off the shield and see if it fixes it.

The rubber flaps that cover the hood hinges flapped on my truck when I installed a bug shield. It moved the air the wrong way and caused them to flap. Sounded more like hard rain hitting the windshield. Like Professor said some adhesive or double sided tape on one end will stop it from flapping if thats your noise.

I have the exact same issue and I discovered that if I placed a strip of electrical tape over the pass side weather stripping and the class on the front window it would disappear. To test this I removed the tape and it was back.

I have not had time to fix. The dealer in the small town I work said 2 days to fix. That seems like a long time to fix a windshield seal problem. Now I have a stone chip so the toss up on insurance it or fix both problems.

I have the electrical tape fix. Had it on for about a year and a half now. Only on my second set of tape. :D
My dealer said that GM didn't have a fix yet and that it was related to my bug guard, so take it off. I took the guard off and it was still there so the tape went back on. I don't even notice the tape anymore. It was a small price to pay for my sanity, which was fading fast.

I used some double sided 3M tape (from AutoZone or Wal-mart) to secure the molding. See the following threads for more info...
