I can get a rebuilt 1000 series Allison for a 4wd GM HD pickup for $2300.

I can get a NEW 1000 series Allison for a 4wd GM HD pickup for $2800.

what about just getting a core? get a core and ship it off to your favorite "rebuilder" and have two transmissions. :D

New Allison for diesel, dealer cost is 2795.00. core is 795.00. Tomac has some good prices, IIRC from Allison dealer. GM comes with 36month/50k warr, not sure on others
