I just received 2 fuel filters from DIS, PN 50143. They advertise that the filter stocked for the Duramax is a Racor filter but the ones I received are made by Parker Hannifin Corp. and do not have the word Racor anywhere on them. I really thought I was going to get the Racor ones.
I haven't yet replaced the original filter so these are the first ones I've bought. Did I get ripped off here ? Did Racor get bought out and their name has changed ? Or are these filters equivalent to the OEM and Racor ?

Thanks in advance.

Racor has been owned by Parker for a long time. Same difference.

My dealer said they cost $92. at the counter so I ordered 5 from DIS in TX. for $16.31 each, even though they are back ordered for a week. If they are identical to the dealer's why does the dealer charge $92? Maybe I should buy 50 of them and sell them to the dealer for $32. each.

Parker has owned Racor for a while now. But you will see that they are one of the same. We have them in stock.
