Broken Tierods

I broke 2 tierods this weekend. I have heard this to be the week link, and that it's not uncommon. Has anybody have this happen to them, and are there any aftermarket ones out there that are stronger than stock?

How did they brake? What were you doing?

They broke while I was in 4 wheel low going up a mound of dirt about 30 feet tall. Luckly I was about 20min. North of Las Vegas and my cousin was able to come get me and take me to the local dealership to buy the parts. Once back with the parts, it only took less than 20 min. to replace. A little front end adjustments and I was back to San Diego. What a sight to look at your front end and see both tires pointing in!!!
