View Full Version : new overdrive cancel switch

Have any members installed the overdrive cancel switch for the 01 & 02's allison? I bought the parts finally after beating the chevy parts guys ears in. The parts did come with some vague info and instructions. I work on transmissions for a living so i am sure i can figure it out,but theres always someone thats been there and done that. Thanks in advance!

Go to www.kennedydiesel.com, under Duramax, and Tech Tips. John has detailed instructions, using a momentary pushbutton.

QUESTION :

Are you considering adding the Fast Idle modification? If so, you might as well pull one more wire through the fire wall during the ODLO installation, and half the work is already done. See more detailed info on this at the Kennedy site, and also see previous post at

Modified, thanks for your reply, i am using gm cancel switch only which had different instructions than the Kennedy instructions.I'll make this happen.Thanks Tim Hey, When does not one become a newbie???
