I recently attempted to get 2 90 deg replacement Zerks because of the AC lines blocking the ones GM so thoughtfully had on and 2 automotive stores and my local Chevrolet dealer had no idea what size I needed.
Anyone know what the thread size is?

Thanks in adance!!!

Cliffee,

Have you tried a Right Angle adapter for your grease gun? I have a swivel type 90 deg adapter that works well on my 03. An air powered greese gun also helps make the job easier. I did a quick search and found the following 90 deg adapter. It's different than mine but looks like it would fit into some tight places...

zerks are 6mm. Great ease of maintenance planning on GM's part. I swear when I greased mine I thought the factory didn't want to bother either.

Note I have a 2001 and my grease zerks do not have flats on them for a wrench to grab. They are a smooth round shape and appear to have been pressed in. I am not a mechanic but I was afraid to mess with changing them.

I was able to grease them but it was not easy.

Any ideas? Thanks,

Two Nappa Auto Parts and a Loacal GM dealer did not have the parts. Funny the dealer said the Zergs can't be changed, their self tapped at the factory. Maybe thier the rounded ones with no square area for a wrench like previously mentioned. I just went and picked up the 90deg grease gun adapter. It was 7 bucks and should work fine.

Thanks Again.
