Three questions related to an '04 LLY D/A
1. I am going to flush and refill the Allison with synthetic...is there any real diff between Amsoil or Mobile 1, which is better?
2. The truck has Ceramic brake pads and I know nothing about the their relative performance in braking a 20K CGVW load on a long downgrade. It's been suggested that I switch to Hawk SuperDuty's (which are only available for the front). Are OEM ceramics a good thing or would Hawks make a big difference?
3. The truck has a 3 1/2" exhaust system and it's been suggested I go to a 4" turbo back with straight thru muffler. Roughly how much HP/torgue gain should I expect from this change (otherwise stock setup) and how much reduction in exhaust temp? ie is this change worthwhile by itself?
