Climate Control

I recently just noticed that my buddies 2500HD Crew Cab has automatic climate contol while my 2500HD Ext. Cab has the standard fan control system. Why?? I do not remember seeing that option available. Is it because it is standard on crew cab trucks? My friend also has a 1500HD Crew Cab with the same climate control. Its too late to change it anyway but I was just curious!

My 2001 has climate control. IIRC RPO C68

This further supports the idea that the crew cab have climate control standard. Do any of the ext. cabs have it.
Hoot, did you have to order that as an option?? I see you stated the RPO code?

I forgot, all trucks above are 2002.

I tried to order climate control on my rig (loaded 2500HD SLT Ext. cab), and there was no option code for it with my configuration. The dealer couldn't tell me one way or the other if I could get it, so we had to wait and see if the truck showed up with it. It didn't. We took a walk out on the lot, and found a crew-cab, and it DID have climate control. It seems as though that's the only cab that it's available on. :confused:

Climate control isn't standard on the '01 or '02 Crew Cabs, but it is only available on Crew Cabs.

Forced Induction,

The Electronic Climate Control (option C68) for 2002 was only available for the LT Crew Cab as per the GM Config. Guide. N/A w/VYU Snow Plow Prep.
Eff. 12/21/01 Invoice was US$107.50 / Retail was US$125.00.

Guys, Thanks for all your help and clarifications. Atleast now I know it wasn't within my power to get that item. I'm happy with the system I have and absolutely love the truck and POWER!! :D
