Rear Wheel Well Liner? 2002

Noticed that on my 4x4 rear wheel area under bed has no plastic liner at all so it will catch lots of mud in that body area. Are there any plastic liners available or liners from other trucks that might fit ours to keep that area cleaner?

I came up with my own. Don't know why GM doesn't do something like the Fords. Mine do the job very well. I only made skirts for the front of the rear tires. Due to the height of the rear end of the truck & the throw angle of the rear tires, I decided most of the mud & debris would end up behind the skirt making it even more difficult to clean.

Like my Allison cooler air deflector, I could possibly do a CAD drawing & Email it to you but I will need your address.

Billy14, i too am looking for rear fender liners. I look under lotsa vehicles and have my eye on Z-71 Stepside bed liners. I've been looking for them @ junk yards, but no luck. I did some SWAG measuring and I think they'll fit.
If you have any CADS for the liners please send them to me, also send me your deflector pix too.

I think all 99-02 stepside beds have these. Probably wouldn't cost too much from somewhere like GMPartsDirect.com

Hey Fellas,

Would one of you e-mail me with the results. I got my little brother-in-law into an 02' Z-71. He runs a carwash and is ...er...anial about keeping the thing "spotlessly" clean. It has "never" seen "any" off-road driving. These would be right up his alley.

Guys I checked these out on a stepside at the dealer and it looks like them will fit perfectly!

They just snap on w/the clips like the front liners and the flares. There are 3 snaps on the inside that snap into the piece off the bed next to the frame. Dents are already there for the holes.

I am definately going to get a set of these soon. They are just like the front. Easy to keep clean w/tire foam.

They fasten to the flares and then 3 fasteners to the piece comming of the bed next to the frame.

Part #15149708 for the fasteners.

I made a set for my truck out of sheetmetal and then coated them with spray-on bedliner material. I made them so I would not have to do any drilling on the truck. They attach using the two bolts in the middle of the wheelwell and the bolt at the bottom of the wheelwell that attaches the lower fender support. Thanks for the compliments, pullinpower. It took several hours to make them the first time around due to having to "fit" the plate to the truck and figure out where to weld the brackets on the plates. However, when I made a couple of sets for some people who wanted to buy some it didn't take as long because I already had a template. They work really well, but of course you are still going to get some mud in the rear bumper because they don't hang down that low. Makes the truck look a lot better, too.

My dealer had the right side one in stock. I will try it tomorrow and post the results over the weekend.

It doesn't look like these will work if you want a full wheel well liner. The top "hump" part is too deep by about 6 inches. If you just want something to fill in the area between the wheel well and the bottom of the quarters and don't mind chopping up a new liner they should work.
